Mr. Dunlap conducts the Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Percussion Ensemble, and Jazz Band at Hammond High School. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the Peabody Conservatory where he studied saxophone performance with Gary Louie and conducting with Dr. Harlan Parker. As winner of the 2013 Yale Gordon Concerto Competition, Mr. Dunlap performed as a soloist with the Peabody Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Dunlap has also performed with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and Peabody Wind Ensemble and is currently a member of the Capital Wind Symphony. He is also interested in how the brain works and did research on the brain and music while earning a degree in Neuroscience from the Johns Hopkins University. He graduated from Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, VA.
